ADHD

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder that affects people's ability to focus, organize and control their behavior. It is estimated that around 4% of adults have ADHD. In the work environment, ADHD can pose both challenges and opportunities.

People with ADHD may struggle with tasks that require sustained attention or organization, but they may also excel in jobs that involve multitasking or creative problem-solving.

To create a supportive work environment for people with ADHD, employers can offer not only accomodations to support their employees, but a positive work environment where the ADHD employee can reach their true potential.

Employers can also educate their staff about ADHD and provide resources for employees with ADHD to enable them to thrive. With the right support, people with ADHD can be the creative super power in the workplace and make valuable contributions to their organizations.
